This course provides a comprehensive overview of the ISO 14001:2015 standard for environmental management, while training participants to conduct internal audits of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and objective of the ISO 14001:2015 standard for environmental management systems.
- Understand the application of environmental management principles.
- Explain the relationships between the clauses of the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
- Explain the process-based model of an environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2015, and the role of internal auditing in maintaining and improving EMS systems, with reference to the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle.
- Explain the role and responsibilities of the auditor in planning, conducting, reporting on, and following up an internal audit of an environmental management system, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1, if applicable. • Planning, implementing, writing a report and following up on an internal audit of a part of the Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001:2015, and in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 if required.
