- Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: • Explain the purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) and the organizational and societal benefits of improving performance in this area. • Describe the assessor’s role in planning, conducting, documenting, and following up on an assessment of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 where applicable. • Plan, conduct, document, and follow up on an assessment of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System to verify conformity (or nonconformity) with ISO 45001:2018, in line with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 where applicable.
